DB2 Administrator - English language (2nd level support)


Job description
2 + years of experience (Minimum 18 months of DBA experience on any
Unix flavour or Linux)

o Good in DB2 RDBMS architecture concepts
o Usage of database catalogs
o Space management,
o Managing Archive log files
o User management
o Backup and recovery methods including point in time recovery.
o Backup and recovery using DB2 backup and restore commands.
o Ability to use export/import, DB2move, Load utility.
o DB2 node directory / catalog configuration
o Database performance tuning using DB2dart, DB2explain utilities.
o Troubleshooting database issues using db2diag and notification logs,
snapshot, event monitor, db2hc or enabling hmon.
o Basic SQL knowledge
o Working knowledge of Unix

Desirable:
o Knowledge of DB2 UDB 8.x or 9.x;
o Ability to learn quickly and mentoring other team members on Data
Base field;
o Willing to learn and work with WebSphere products;
o Use of problem and change management tools

Soft Skills
o Must have excellent team working skills balanced with ability to
work alone and a positive attitude.
o Customer focus
o Communication skills: Good English speaking/writing skills required
o Bachelor's Degree
o DBA : Applied
o English: Intermediate
